He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Universidad de Santiago de Chile, DPA in Financial Management at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, postgraduate in Computer Audit at Universidad de Chile. Mr. Gatica is a professional with over twenty-year experience of financial audit, internal control and management, performing duties of comptroller, auditor of management and internal auditor in the public and private sectors. Also in his first professional stage, he worked in multinational accounting and consulting firms, as senior consultant. He is a founding partner and member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Chile, and The Institute of Internal Auditors.
